Sorry I’ve been away from the blog for a while , but I’ve been traveling. Wagey and I are in Hollywood- home of the movies and the people who make them! If you could star in any movie, what would it be AND WHY??? ECHO THE QUESTION and write in COMPLETE sentences!!!
Most of you did a nice job with the last assignment, and I’m glad that I received email responses from those of you who were a little late in posting. I guess my ‘friendly reminder’ email did the trick.
However, some of you did not write the required 3 sentences or more. Since it was your first attempt I let it slide, but this time I will expect a FULL 3 sentences (at least). Also, please answer ALL questions asked. Don’t try to cut corners. This is helping you practice for 4th grade.
Zack Files (chapters 1 and 2 question):
Would you like to go to Camp Weno-Wanna-Getta-Wedgee? Why or why not?
What or who do you think was making the noise at the end of chapter 2?
Please answer all the questions. Make sure you use capital letters and punctuation marks. This is due by Monday, July 19.
Please choose either question 1 OR question 2 and answer it using 3-5 sentences. Remember to echo the question and use proper capitals and punctuation.
Question 1: Cassie loved to hang out on her building’s rooftop (tar beach) with her family and use her imagination to go and do things she normally couldn’t. She felt very free and alive up there. What is a special place that you love to go to imagine things? Where is it? What do you think about when you’re there?
Question 2: Why do you think Cassie loves the George Washington Bridge so much? How does she ‘make it hers’?

I just found this new section on the CyberChase website called ‘summer challenges.’ Each week they’ll have a new game for you to make or a puzzle to solve. You can earn points on the website. First you’ll have to pick a username and password. I would suggest the same one you have for email, so you don’t forget.
The first challenge is to make a ‘memory’ game. The website helps you through it. It’s pretty fun. Let me know what you think by adding a comment.

We can’t brag about you guys enough! You all worked super hard to make your brains the smartest they’ve EVER been and had fun while doing it. That’s why we created this blog. We’d like to use it as a way to keep in touch over the summer, make you laugh, make you think, and most of all- to keep you from losing all of the awesome smartiness you gained this year. Visit this place often, and we promise that you’ll have some of the most powerful minds that have ever set foot in a 4th grade classroom!
love,
Ms. Mattiaccio n Ms. McKeown
